The SIIA just released their list of finalists for the 2012 CODiE awards. Moreover is in the running for an award in the category of Best Content Aggregation Service.
If you remember, this past January Newsdesk not only won Best Information Solution, but also took home the “best in show” award.
Since that time, our developers have been working away at improving Newsdesk. Moreover’s coverage of news has increased by 6000 sources and our vetted social media sources have doubled with more on the way. We’ve added the ability to search over news broadcasts and view the video of the results. Searches can be run over licensed and open content, and print articles with links to PDFs of the originals. Clients can add more sources on request, rounding out a 360 degree view of the news and social media landscape.
Here’s to an award-winning 2012!

The CODiE Awards highlight the annual Information Industry Summit presented by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), principal trade association for the software and digital content industry.
“Now in its 26th year, the CODiE Awards continue to recognize those companies providing the best new technology products and services across a broad array of industries,” noted SIIA President Ken Wasch. “In addition, its winners are a prolific testament to the power of technology to deliver innovative solutions to businesses and consumers.”
Commenting on winning two awards in its first-ever CODiE competition, Moreover Technologies’ President Paul J. Farrell said, “It’s a great honor. We are thrilled. We had so much competition and great products we were competing against. This is an incredible achievement for our people. Our total gratitude goes out to the association and all they do in the industry.”
The CODiE accolades reinforce a favorable independent review of Newsdesk 4 conducted by FreePint Research last fall. Partnerships involving Newsdesk 4 also are emerging. Moreover and Precise, the UK’s leading media intelligence provider, are working together to offer the UK a unique news and social media intelligence capability called Precise Profile, powered by the Newsdesk 4 engine.

After months of hard work getting Newsdesk 4 ready for launch at the tail end of last year, and the subsequent toil of tweaks, upgrades and ever-expanding features we are very pleased to announce that Moreover’s Newsdesk 4 has been nominated for a CODiE award.
We have been nominated in the Best Content Aggregation Solution, which “Recognizes the best product that gathers or collects information or applications from disparate online sources for reuse, resale, or distribution from, a single platform. Products may be developed for the broader market or customized based on user needs.” We’d love to thank the team at SIIA for considering us for such a prestigious award and for the opportunity to test what we feel is our best product yet.
Winners are announced next week, on January 25, so check back in with us then to see how we did!
